these flanges are made with Forged material ,
Now lets discuss about Weld neck -
this is the long Tapered hub, that provides reinforcement for several applications involving in high pressure and high temperature.
A Smooth Tapered section Provide Resistance towrds Repeated bending and help in during expansion and other variable loads.
These flanges are bored to match the inside diameter of the mating pipe or fitting so there will be no restriction of product flow.
This prevents turbulence at the joint and reduces erosion.
This flange type will be welded to a pipe or fitting with a single full penetration, V weld (Buttweld).
