What does it mean if a song is "lo-fi"?
"Lo-fi" refers to a recording that doesn't sound as good as it could. "lo-fi" is a short form of "low fidelity." It meant a recording that was cheaply made and had mistakes or background noise. This was neither "high fidelity" nor "hi-fi." People thought that lo-fi music sounded more like real life than professional music in the 1980s and 1990s. Punk, indie rock, and hip-hop artists liked lo-fi because it was cheaper and better for their music.
Lo-fi is a type of electronic music that sounds like downtempo, chillwave scenes, and lo-fi hip-hop. Lo-fi music combined beats and samples from house, jazz, easy listening, and hip-hop with a DIY style that emphasised the rough, homemade sound of analogue recordings. The result is music that sounds dreamy and old-fashioned. Many people liked listening to it in the background, especially when they were studying.
Our channel is only there to share the words to the songs. We don't want to ruin the work of the artists.
The background music and songs in the videos don't belong to us; they belong to the people who made them.
