How much VRAM Do You Have? 🤔

VRAM (Video Random Access Memory) works a lot like your DRAM that your CPU uses. However VRAM is purely dedicated to be used by your GPU to store graphics information. With games getting more and more demanding these days, having more VRAM is always better so that you are more prepared for the future. Here’s a general rule of thumb to how much VRAM you should aim for depending on your resolution :

1080p 8GB
1440p 12GB
4K 16 GB MINIMUM (24 or 32 ideally)

I’m hoping games get more optimized so that we don’t just have an ever increasing VRAM issue 😅
