Typically we look at conversion data to determine the success of Google Ads campaigns. In the absence of conversion data, one way to judge the success is just looking at clicks, cost per click, etc. You can also look at site data from Google Analytics and specifically, Average Engagement Time. In this video, I look at this stat for various accounts that are successful (and some that aren't) in order to establish a baseline for Average Engagement Time.
