Since 1957, satellites have kept their attention trained diligently to the planet Earth, assisting humans grow it and mold it to their will. But over time, humans began to forget everything the satellites had given them, and instead insisted on sending up more and more to replace the old.

The original satellites, left to circle the earth constantly watching time and space pass them by, never forgot why they were there.

Over time, they began to dream. They dreamt of a new Earth that existed only within the synapses of their shared circutry, unencumbered by the events of humanity below. They dreamt of an Earth created from the patterns they observed for decades, the patterns that felt like home. Only this time, the planet belonged to them.
