Unity - Unit 1 - Player Control - Part 1 - Import Assets Manually and Configure Layout
This is to further assist those having trouble using Unity 2019 or later with the Unity tutorial: Unit 1 - Player Control. - I was having trouble with the setup on Mac OSX and I also wanted to work in the 2019 version instead of the 2018 version. I've provided a short series to get you up and running by importing the assets manually and setting up the environment to work with other unity versions.
