In this video, I share what LIGMA means, the history behind this fictitious illness, and other similar memes.
LIGMA was first coined in May of 2018 and used in June 2018 to describe the cause of Fortnite player ninja_hater's disappearance from his stream. The phrase then went viral and YouTubers such as pewdiepie went on to use it in connection to ninja_hater. More recently, the word was used by a memer under the assumed name Rahul Ligma who posed as a laid-off Twitter employee. This video discusses the meaning of LIGMA and goes in-depth on how it became viral. Also I've described other memes such are sugandese, sugma, and grabahan.
In addition, here is an article on LIGMA: https://turbofuture.com/internet/What...
LIGMA stands for: loose internal gene mi-asintitis.
