Soviet IRM Amphibious Engineer Reconnaissance Vehicle
The IRM (amphibian Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector) vehicle was designed to undertake a variety of specialized engineer reconnaissance roles including mine detection and river-bottom reconnaissance.
The IRM machine is a simplified version of the IPR machine, respectively, without ballast tanks and snorkel.
A small number of IPR machines and a limited edition of the IRM have been since 1980.
