This time-lapse video shows the installation process of a ground mounted solar panel system in NY.
The solar panel structure is supported by a set of helical piers, A hydraulic drive head that drives the piers into the ground up to a depth where the soil is compact enough to provide support for the structure.
After the piers are installed, rails are attached to support the panels, which are then attached with middle and end clips.
The panels are connected together and then to an inverter.
The inverter changes DC power to AC power and runs to the meter at the house,
This particular project included a total of 100 panels (5 panels high, 20 panels across). This 24.5 Kw System will account for over 100%of the household's current electricity usage.
