We're going to have 2 speakers today!
First, one of our newer local members Dylan Piercey is going to talk about the benefits of isomorphic/universal JavaScript and how to use it for any size app.
He'll tell us about:
• What Isomorphic JavaScript even is
• Server first applications
• What progressive enhancement is
• Isomorphic vs Universal JS
• How this applies to SEO
Dylan is also going to show us some tools you can utilize in order to take advantage of universal JavaScript.

Our second speaker is a our favourite ex-pat David Luecke. In from Vancouver, he's going to show us how DoneJS, the successor to JavaScriptMVC, can be used to build real-time high-performance web, desktop and mobile applications.
In this talk we'll build a fast, real-time single page application with DoneJS and he'll talk about their approach to:
• Server side rendering/Isomorphic JS
• Progressively loading optimized bundles
• Use of content delivery networks (CDNs)
• Desktop and mobile application builds
As always, we'll be live streaming this meetup, code will be up on github and slides will be online.
