How do I save time when finding the best place to edit my sample. When you're sampling and editing audio you want to have a clean loop by splitting the audio right before the transient. You could zoom right in and manually place the playhead at the perfect edit point or you can use the "tab to transient" feature of Reaper and other DAW software to automatically jump the playhead to the ideal position without you having to zoom in and waste time.
