CARMEN-SUITE BALLET 16.10.2023 in GENEVA!
Geneva Dance Events & Camerata Venia, present: CARMEN-SUITE on October 16, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva.
During this exceptional evening, a range of stars from around the world will perform on the Geneva stage. The musicians of Camerata Venia and its conductor Gleb Skvortsov will accompany the dancers live. They will put their great talent and enthusiasm at the service of a fascinating poster in an original and unique choreography.
The program will present the magical world of ballet through three shows:
“Le Jeun Homme et la Mort” - one-act ballet to music by J.S. Bach, choreography by Roland Petit.
“The Maiden and the Dead” - one-act ballet to music by F. Schubert, choreography by Riva & Repele.
“Carmen-Suite” – one-act ballet to music by G. Bizet / R. Shchedrin, choreography by Alberto Alonso. With the dancers of the Astana Ballet.
STARRING:
Maia Makhateli and Victor Caixeta - Principal dancers at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam.
Bakhtiyar Adamzhan - Principal dancer at the Astana Opera.
Denis Matvienko - World ballet star.
Yumi Aizawa - Principal dancer at the ballet of Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Sasha Riva and Simone Repele - choreographers and founders of the Riva&Repele association.
