Walk for Hope: Melody’s Fight Becomes Melody’s Walk
At age 24, Melody Shahsavarani had to start at ground zero. She was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma in late 2021 but is cancer free today after treatment at City of Hope. “I got a second chance at life, so I’m not wasting a minute of it,” Melody says.
During her treatment, she created a “Melody’s Fight” account on social media so people could follow her ups and downs. Now she hopes people will join her as she turns her new hope and new life into action in the 2024 Walk for Hope. This is the first year that City of Hope’s largest annual fundraiser to benefit cancer research will be a national event. Walks will be hosted near Los Angeles, Orange County, Chicago, Atlanta and Phoenix or (virtually) in your own community. Join Melody and thousands of others in the commitment to end cancer.
