On February 20, 40 students from U of T Scarborough's Black Student Engagement embarked on a journey to Howard University. This trip wasn't just about visiting a historically Black research institution; it was a journey to a place where history, culture, and academic excellence converge. It offered our students a unique lens through which to view their potential, their heritage, and the collective narrative of Black excellence.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Howard University for welcoming us, for enriching our perspectives, and for fostering an environment where our students could see the boundless opportunities that lie ahead. This journey has laid the groundwork for the future – a future where we continue to explore transformative opportunities and partnerships between U of T and HBCUs that uplift and empower Black students.

Our campus is located in one of the most diverse areas of the city - Toronto's vibrant east side neighbourhood of Scarborough.
