Computer Keyboard Erasing Letters As You Type? (Word, Chrome, Everywhere!)
This video explains how to fix your computer keyboard if it is erasing letters or words as your type them, particularly in Microsoft Word. If your keyboard is stuck in overwrite mode and is overwriting letters as you type - this will fix the problem!
Overwriting words is an extremely common problem and it is usually caused by accident inside Microsoft Word or other text editos.
By default, Microsoft Word turns on the 'overwrite' feature whenever you press the 'Insert' key on your keyboard. As this key is near backspace, it can be incredibly easy to press the insert key which then causes the word processor to start erasing letters as you type instead of moving them ahead.
