Async JavaScript is a free plugin from the developer of Autoptimize. It's meant to only add the defer or async attribute to your scripts and it makes it really easy to do so. However, I recommend only using this plugin if you're not using another optimization plugin (it's too basic compared to Autoptimize or WP Rocket), and if you are using another plugin like Autoptimize you don't need this plugin!
