Finally new Solutions in a Hurry episode.
This time around iPhone 6S that fell of a bike ride. Phone was super bent and dead. First thing I checked VCC with amp draw and was full short. I used the ice spray thingy and there were no hot spots.
The unthinkable happened. I had to remove the baseband shield, yuk. After that Finally found that one hot capacitor. Removing it released the short. iPhone did boot up and at first I was able to start making back up, but after a minute it started reseting, and reseting more and more frequently.
I decided to give reflow a try. Bend could crack some joints.
After reflowing Baseband and small chip next to it, phone booted and its stable.
