Developed by Irrational Games, published by Sierra Entertainment, SWAT 4 was released in April, 2005 (NA). The expansion, The Stetchkov Syndicate, was released in February, 2006. SWAT 4 is an intense tactical shooter where you lead a squad of five team members on twenty missions in various locations in the fictional East Coast city of Fairview. SWAT 4 is much darker in tone than SWAT 3 and does introduce some welcome improvements. But the real question is how does it compare to SWAT 3?

For this review we will be taking a look at the original SWAT 4, The Stetchkov Syndicate expansion, and three mods - the H.S.M. Enhancements Mod v3.0, the SAS Mod v1.1 for SWAT 4 Expansion (TSS), and the SWAT 4 Remake v1.3.1.
