Probably, there are no beekeepers who would not like to be satisfied with the final result of their work. The amount of commercial honey collected will, in the end, be the estimated result of their hard work. Experienced beekeepers, as a rule, annually have high results in collecting commercial honey.
Today I will talk about such concepts as methods in beekeeping and beekeeping technology. Why is it important to know what methods there are in beekeeping and why it is necessary to work out the technology of work in detail? The fact is that the excellent result of the beekeeper's final work not only depends on his diligence, work and love for bees, by and large it will depend on competent actions, the sequence of work with bees during the season. The beekeeper must be theoretically literate, know the biology of bees.
The concepts of method and technology in beekeeping are common. Many beekeepers often make a mistake when they believe that the method and technology are the same thing. This suggests that the beekeeper has no idea about the methods of beekeeping.
The method should be understood as a set of basic techniques that are used in the production process. And the technological process is a set of methods and thoughtful connections between them. The technology can be based on a dozen methods and these methods should occupy the right place in the technology, the final result will depend on it. For example: "I say, at the beginning of May, a lay-off is made from each main family." This is the method in this case. Another example. "At my apiary, each main family brings out fistula queens for themselves." This is also the method that I use for the annual replacement of queens in my apiary. And there are a lot of such methods in working with bees – more than ten. As we can see, the technological process is a consistent set of methods and the correct, appropriate connections between them, the effectiveness of the entire technology will depend on this.
By itself, one or another method will not give the result that you set for yourself in the end, But a properly constructed technology usually brings excellent results.
Let's conclude: In order to achieve good results in beekeeping, it is necessary, taking into account local conditions, to choose the right methods of beekeeping. The technology will depend entirely on the techniques that form it. All together, with the right formulation of the case, brings excellent results. And another time it is not clear what pleases the beekeeper more – the final result of honey or a properly compiled technology.
