Smart has officially unveiled the all-new Smart #5 Summit Edition and Smart #5 Premium+. These models represent the brand's most versatile vehicles to date, combining outdoor-oriented features with integrated accessory packages. The exterior includes a roof light bar, an electric trailer hitch, and the Adventurers' Collection package.

Smart, the all-electric automotive brand, has introduced the all-new Smart #5, the third vehicle in its all-electric lineup. Alongside the Smart #1 and #3, the Smart #5 adds another premium SUV to the range, featuring state-of-the-art electric drive technology, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a seamless, intelligent cockpit. By launching its most versatile vehicle yet, Smart continues to meet the diverse needs of its global customers.
Smart's Most Versatile Vehicle Yet
Designed by Mercedes-Benz, the Smart #5 incorporates signature design elements such as a panoramic halo roof, frameless doors, and short front and rear overhangs. The Smart #5 has a wheelbase of 2,900 mm and an overall length of 4,705 mm.
The vehicle features the brand's distinctive, elongated headlights both front and rear, along with the Smart logo on the D-pillar. Two-tone mirrors and floating wheel caps with the central Smart logo, which remains upright as the wheels rotate, enhance its premium feel.
Equipped with the exclusive Adventurers' Collection, the Smart #5 Summit Edition combines premium quality, practical innovations, and multifunctionality, featuring a roof light bar, electric trailer hitch, underbody protection, roof carrier, side steps, side bag, and side ladder.
Technologically Advanced Interior for a Premium Experience
The all-new Smart #5 offers a modern, spacious, and tech-enhanced interior. Highlights include zero-gravity seats that recline up to 121 degrees, upholstered in leather, with V-shaped head curtain airbags, cushion airbags, and seat-integrated safety belts. In the rear, leather seats offer a generous headroom of 1,060 mm, heating, seatback adjustment, an electric sunshade, and airplane-style LED reading lights with a "First Class" setting. A one-button comfort mode provides additional legroom. Oak wood trim and curved, elongated design elements further emphasize the vehicle's premium character.
Comfort features include ambient lighting with 256 color options and the ability to configure all seats into king-size, queen-size, or single sleeping spaces. The entertainment system boasts a built-in projector paired with a Sennheiser Signature Sound System with 20 speakers and a portable speaker. A raising speaker with ambient lighting syncs with the rhythm of the music to create an immersive audio-visual experience. Additionally, the vehicle offers 34 storage compartments, a 72-liter frunk, and up to 1,530 liters of storage space in the rear.
Cutting-Edge Technology and an Intelligent Cockpit Experience
At the heart of the Smart #5's interior is a modern, intuitive human-machine interface (HMI). It features a 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 10.3-inch full-color Ultra HD LCD instrument cluster, and two 13-inch 2.5K AMOLED displays. A state-of-the-art generative AI voice assistant allows the driver to access a variety of resources to answer almost any question. Paired with Smart's intelligent avatars, the driver can control key functions using voice commands alone, including phone calls, messages, music and media, climate control, navigation, personal settings, and vehicle control, as well as all internet functions. A new lion avatar, named Leo, helps guide users through the controls.
Electric Performance and Ride Quality
With its 800-volt platform, the Smart #5 achieves new levels of performance in terms of charging speed and range. The vehicle's 100 kWh battery supports a supercharging function (4C), enabling a charge from 10% to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes. The Smart #5 can achieve ranges of over 740 km (CLTC), and a 220 V power socket in the trunk provides unlimited versatility when off the grid. Additionally, the vehicle offers several on- and off-road driving modes, including Adaptive, Sand, Snow, Mud, and Rock.
