Note about time and computing power resources used for creating shell action video...
We create recfile of shell action with ttyrec, then converting that file to gif with ttygif and create video from gif file with ffmpeg.
Converting about 900 gif files from ttyrec recfile with ttygif takes much time maybe about 30+ minute... and may get error of cache with convert util...
something like: "convert-im6.q16: cache resources exhausted..."
Its need change resources file on /etc/ImageMagick-6/policy.xml file... simply up all number in 2-3 times or may be just disk parameter from 1Gb to 4-8Gb should be enough...
from policy domain="resource" name="disk" value="1GiB"/
to policy domain="resource" name="disk" value="8GiB"/
About requires high computing power:
ffmpeg converting to x264 codec mp4 file from gif with 900 images in normal quality take more then 60+ min of time with 2-core intel cpu 2.5Gh and SSE4.1 support on laptop, and cpu temperature get high (more +80C), but may be help change thermal paste for processor :)
sensors output on the video... also added audio for just in case:)...
