I've struggled with pair programming for years. As a 99% remote worker I usually resorted to screen sharing and code snippets. Back in 2017 I remember "Screen Hero" which was since bought and sold and apparently today runs under another name. It was the bleeding edge of sharing - you could draw, take control and highlight lines and it worked great. But it wasn't a real pair-programming session.
