In 2014 Leah has just return from a trip to Panama.
2020 update: West Africa , The Gambia, Senegal, Dakar, Thailand,Chang mai, Japan, Jamaica an back to the U.K in 2019 an 2020. It's safe to say Leah Tunkara eh world Traveler that was born in New York. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Hawaii is her home base. Her family has lived in the islands for over 30 years.
Leah started touring the world all by herself at the age of 16.
The first place she landed (with her passport in hand) was NASSAU BAHAMAS.
Eh few years after that Leah took her mother to Jamaica, Saint Luisa and to N.Y.C to see all the Broadway plays ! (this is the year Bob Marley died.) in Jamaica we can recall Tributes to the Tuff Gong everywhere. In Kingston ect.
Leah owned her first buz at the age of 14.
Tunkara started dancing and modeling in Hawaii.
Landing her first job as the first Black Model on the Cover of Waikiki Beach Press (Hawaii's award-winning paper in 1980) .
In her teens Leah dreamed of being a actor. Leah got her first work on ( number one TV show at the time) MAGNUM P.I.
TV actor came on the set and told her he thought she had some-thing and if she move to Hollywood he would train her FOR FREE !
Leah moved to LA studied Film making, Screenwriting & Acting !
Never booking eh big part, however Leah has worked with big stars on big sets.
Learned a lot REAL set experience as a member S,A,G.
In 1988 Leah Tunkara was sent for by Nina Simone to work for she on a European Tour.
2004 was the year Leah was the house guest of drummer Grizzley of Steel Pulse. Steve Steve Grizzly Nisbett he was directing spoken word artists. THE OCT. POETS, Leah did some touring with the group in the U.K and was inspired to GET OF THE PAGE !
Meaning learn by heart, the poems she wrote in her book. Leah first came to Europe by way of recording artist' Nina Simone' she toured with her as her personal assistant.

No one line or book can tell the full story of someone's life.
I've keep a journal of my life since I was 16 years old and this has help me to see myself better. I was watching Oprah Winfrey on her new channel OWN, she had 2 'big
fame world media sisters' talking about they personal life. One singer, I love to see perform, but to hear her talk about her life 'the diary video's' was a bit of eh borad to me.
Then I ask myself why ? Then the younger 'brand-sister- singer' who's kinda wild and I love that about her.She owned her crazy shit more , so I liked what she was sharing about her life A LOT more !...and I asked why ? Well I'll anser all that later.
I am asking MYSELF, WHAT CAN i SHARE about my personal life that could be helpful to a younger women or even a older woman !
WOMEN WHO TRAVEL FEARLESS ! Thats all I may have in common with the women of FAME & BRANDS ! So I came up with 5 area's in mylife I think I can write about 4 of the worlds people write about all the time, but few can write about sexuality ! Or will share how important this is in eh woman's life. How one needs grow ! with this being a very big part of the SHE life . Weather your are having good sex or no sex.
You should know what brings you -WHAT GETS U OFF, MAKES U come lol !
It such a very important part of being eh 'fearless woman' ! I'll write more about my 'Sexy World' later.
How dare women write about LOVE, BABY, MIND, SOUL & SPIRITUALITY and fail to write SEXUALITY as part of them HUMANITY !
