AliExpress is it a scam site???

I used Paypal on a different order. and AliExpress is refunding me my money back after 9 days if the seller did not ship. Guess what ? Of course these crooks did not ship!! This seller even contacted me to arrange shipping!! I gave AliExpress screenshot of that seller next thing I knew his page was Gone! Good riddance!
Be very careful using this site!! There are plenty of of scammers on it!! Overall I say do not use!! As of today I’m out $616.00 using this site where the seller of item had me use cashapp for payment. Communication through what’s app which that spelled wazapp clear warning sign of a scammer. Just use Amazon or eBay.
