In this video, I travel across two cities in India: Salem, Tamilnadu and Mysore, Karnataka. Salem is my father’s hometown, and my big Indian family accompanies me for my first nose piercing (it was kinda painful). I traveled to Mysore on a sleeper train and visited the famous Mysore Palace the next day. Mysore is a city with lots of history, and the palace reflected the impact of colonialism on the culture of the city. I spend my Sunday in Mysore as well, enjoying the well-preserved nature surrounding the city. Overall, this weekend was super interesting and I’d definitely say Mysore has become one of my favorite Indian cities :)
