Dr. Telkes was brought into the world in Budapest, Hungary in 1900 and concentrated on actual science at the Eötvös Loránd College of Budapest. She graduated with a B.A. in 1920 and accepted her PhD in 1924. The next year, she moved to the US and acknowledged a situation as a biophysicist. In 1937, she turned into a U.S. resident.
