OperaWine 2024: Finest Italian Wines | 13th Edition Recap
The thirteenth edition of OperaWine, Finest Italian Wines: Great Producers selected by Wine Spectator, was held on 13 April at the site of the former Gallerie Mercatali. As the première event for the 46th edition of Vinitaly, 131 top producers, selected by the American magazine Wine Spectator, were invited to share their wines with an exclusive audience of invited international journalists, sommeliers, wine experts, ambassadors and educators.
The 2024 edition of OperaWine took its inspiration from a classical theme whose resonance with the event is evident in its name: opera. OperaWine 2024 accentuated the excellence of Italian wine through the creation of event staging and branding inspired by great operatic works. It is particularly fitting that opera is recognised this year, as Italy celebrates being inscribed on UNESCO's list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
