Hirosaki Castle, One of the 100 Fine Castles of Japan
Located in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, Hirosaki Castle, symbolof the Hirosaki Castle Park, is one of the few Japanese castles that has been preserved and remains to this day in its original structure. Hirosaki Castle (弘前城, Hirosaki-jō) was constructed in 1611.
Hirosaki Castle was listed as one of the 100 Fine Castles of Japan by the Japan Castle Foundation.
The surrounding Hirosaki Park around the castle grounds is one of Japan's most famous cherry blossom spots.
