This is how I make a latte at home.
First I start off by weighing 20g of coffee, a quick spritz of RDT and straight into the grinder. I have links down below for all the equipment I use.
Next I pour the ground coffee into my portafilter and use the Subminimal Flick WDT tool to evenly distribute my ground before tamping.
Next I insert the portafilter into the Stone Coffee Machine and I place my scales and cup under the group head.
Most days I'll opt for a double ristretto but today I wanted to try this coffee as an espresso as well as a milky.
I start my shot and watch how long it takes for the first drop of coffee, this is a good indicator if my espresso will be too quick or too long and in turn will help me to adjust my grinder to a coarser or more fine grind size.
Next I steam my milk, this doesn't take long at all to do and is very similar to a commercial machine. The biggest difference is the Stone takes a little longer to texture.
I then combine my milk into my espresso and attempt latte art which almost always looks worse than how I had planned it :)
