How to Open Google Discover Links in a Web Browser on a Xiaomi Phone Running MIUI
Google Discover provides websites of interest based on your surfing history. However, the app by default opens links in Google's built-in app, which is based on Chrome. Problem with this is that it does not block Google ads. If you want to open links in a web browser, such as Firefox or Microsoft Edge, the process is fairly simple.
Simply go to the Google Discover page, by swiping across from the left, and then go down to the very bottom of the page and select "more stories". Once a new page opens, click on the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner, and select "settings", then "general" and deselect "open webpages in app".
