The absence of legitimate choice in this game is an interesting, uh, choice. Like Fate is the rule here. And if you believe in fate, you don't believe in choice. Or at least, the belief in the illusion of choice. And translated to video games, it's a concept that shouldn't work, but we see it unfolding before us!
At least that's what I tell my D&D players that complain that their choices don't matter. SUCK IT UP, SCRUBS!
