The Joy Formidable, Silent Treatment
Welsh rockers the Joy Formidable found international acclaim—and some rock star love from Dave Grohl—with their ethereal debut full-length, 'The Big Roar.' And while busy touring the world in support of it, they still found time to work on its follow-up, the recently released 'Wolf's Law.' No sophomore slump here. The Guardian says, "This is one for speakers, not headphones, a great dense whoosh of music that makes you feel like the bloke in the old Maxell tapes advert." That even remains true in this stripped-down, emotional, acoustic version of the LP's "Silent Treatment," done in an East Village hotel room.
