OECD countries have been successful in removing barriers to digital connectivity for women, but challenges remain that require action from governments, businesses and civil society.

This International Women’s Day, let’s work together to encourage the fair and full participation of girls and women, and build a more inclusive digital world.

This year, International Women’s Day focuses on the Digital Divide. OECD countries have been successful in removing barriers to digital connectivity for women, but many remain. This requires action from governments, businesses and civil society to ensure that the digital transformation helps close gender gaps.

The OECD measures digital divides and advises governments on how to bridge them. Our indicators help policymakers encourage the fair and full participation of girls and women, to build a more inclusive digital world. Learn more: https://www.oecd.org/gender/
