Coding ability is overrated
Yes really. As you progress your career in the software industry, my opinion is that investing in your own programming ability is a declining cost/value investment. It's not that coding ability is not important, the only way to get and maintain a job in the tech industry is to maintain a high-level of skill when it comes to software implementation; however, there are other under-rated skills that could help you progress your career faster.
