Git vs GitHub, what's the difference? In this video we deconstruct the difference between Git and GitHub. Git is an example of a decentralized version control system (DVCS), and GitHub takes advantage of this architecture to host Git repositories. Not only do we explore the difference between centralized version control systems (CVCS) and DVCS', but we discuss some of the reasons why Git has become so popular. But at the end of the day, the Git vs GitHub debate is like comparing apples or oranges: they're completely different tools, but complement each other well.
