This video demonstrates how to install WordPress on your local machine using MAMP.
You would do this if you need to work on a PHP application such as WordPress or MySQL database without the need for buying website hosting. This is because it is all running from your own computer.
In this demo, we install WordPress as the PHP application.

The video is split into 4 parts:
1. Download and Installing MAMP -    • How to install WordPress on your comp...
2. Configuring MAMP -    • How to install WordPress on your comp...
3. Installing WordPress -    • How to install WordPress on your comp...
4. Brief overview of WordPress folder structure -    • How to install WordPress on your comp...

You will need to download:
MAMP - http://mamp.info/
WordPress - http://wordpress.org/

To create/access the database, you go to http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/ from the tools menu in the MAMP landing page.
The phpMyAdmin url will differ depending on what ports you are using for PHP in the MAMP Preferences. By default you may need to add :8888 to the url like so: http://localhost:8888/phpmyadmin.php

This video is for MAMP on a Mac computer but the instructions are quite similar on a Windows machine.
