Rescued Leopard "Bakari" Enjoys His Treetop Lookout at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary | FOUR PAWS USA
#Leopard Bakari at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary loves his treetop lookout!
Bakari was originally born in a German zoo in 2009 where he was used as a "selfie cub" for tourists to take photos with during Christmas. Once the event was over, he was essentially discarded and taken to the sanctuary (now FELIDA) at only 2 months of age. At the sanctuary, however, life did not improve much for the young #BigCat. He was locked up in a small enclosure, surrounded by lions (his natural enemy in the wild). Thankfully, FOUR PAWS stepped in and took over the rescue center, which we now know today as FELIDA Big Cat Sanctuary (@felidabigcatsanctuary). His enclosure was expanded and he was given proper care and treatment.
Since then, Bakari has been transferred to LIONSROCK where he now has even more space to explore and enjoy the views!
