A lot of new optimizations!
Details about the run if you click SHOW MORE
28:03 I am clipping the fence using an explosive barrel, this is a 1.0 exclusive glitch, the code for the later versions literally say "fix the fence" in the code comments LOL little did they know the possibilites
28:24 Standing in a very precise position on the snow, I am with an exact angle to land on a part of the cave OOB you can barely land on. Before this wasn't actually very consistent so I did some testing and found out you can aim further right then buffer slightly up left halfway while falling to hit the OOB floor as shown in my new PB.
Once OOB navigating around the cave and clipping into the cave. This glitches out the bike state (Bike Dismount Glitch) so after the cutscene, I can Save then Reload, and the bike will work like a normal bike.
I hard reset my console to start the Memory Manip, I slash for a specific angle and hug the wall to get the correct memory value while working towards the bike
Once I get on the bike this activates my bike mount value (basically like SRM in OOT) which is determined by angle + movement before getting on the bike.
To get the correct memory we have to wait a very specific amount of time and navigate around the map hugging the corners to get the same memory value as I reach the corner of the map, where I hold shield in a corner to make the camera stop shaking and get a very specific memory value.
Once I press Z it reloads the map and lets me clip the corner I'm next to, letting me fall to the mountain below then into the hot springs water
31:54 Because the game thinks I'm on a bike this lets me swim out of bounds, which would normally just result in a softlock, I use the crosshair to aim very specifically and swim in one direction for 1 Minute and 6 seconds
I adjust the angle and swim another direction for 4 Mins 10 seconds towards K5.
I need to enter K5 at a very specific area (the back slightly to the right) to get the correct memory value and I have to enter K5 and hold target during the loading lag for consitency.
37:24 I hit K5 in the correct position and swim to the left targeted which makes a faster K5 swim more consistent. Once I reach the back I use the water above to rise to the correct height then reload K5 so it resets my Mount Trigger from earlier to be the same as Ice Mountain (the same as I started on the bike)
I use this exact memory heap and mount trigger to shoot some Fire Blast shots at the square in the distance (the square is actually the checkpoint trigger) every shot of fireblast modifies my Mount Trigger Values (the bike). Doing so, the game thinks that the 8th fire blast shot is actually Fox due to memory manipulation (SRM), and his XYZ position hits the checkpoint across the room, which means when we die we will spawn in K5 (its actually crazy this even works)
40:00 After K5 you are put in a cutscene that involves Tricky, but we do not have Tricky so the game puts us in a strange cutscene state where fox is falling into the void.
Doing 3 slashes lets us cancel this fall (or a very well timed Z press) giving us a very specific height range. During this state you cannot Pause the game or press L Target
I angle towards the barrel and walk up to the left side of it, if you time the Z press while falling you will nearly always get perfect Y position height and stop fox from falling.
If you are slightly too high then fox will fall forever again into the void as the game has specific Y values triggers for each section of the manip and will pull fox down if he is too high.
Once I get the height I want I walk around to the left to avoid falling triggers and navigate towards the Sun's room
Here I line up with the middle and try straighten the camera as much as possible, once I just about touch the middle I roll and time the slash to barely not hit the wall, and this stops me falling further (hitting the wall can still work), doing so hits the checkpoint trigger inbounds (Event Storage Warp).
Then instantly roll back OOB and slash to barely have enough height still to be able to hit the void plane later.
Once I have done this trick correctly I navigate to the moon room where I void in the pit, if I hit the ESW Trigger it will spawn me in that room after I void, this then allows me to Pause, Save and Quit. Since my last true save trigger I passed was Ice Mountain it will spawn me there.
41:50 I have to take the Arwing back to Dinosaur Planet, you might be wondering why don't we take the Warpstone to Krazoa Palace, but the game will softlock when entering since you aren't actually meant to enter that way from Walled City normally.
46:09 The developers left General Scales inside the mirror, if you have your staff out he comes towards you so you can overlap the cutscenes by doing them in the wrong order lmao
