In this video I show you how you can build your own rover to help find ores after landing on planets in Space Engineers.

With the graphics overhaul it's become a little more difficult as Keen have done away with the dark patches that indicated where to search so now we must search blindly.

Instead of flying around in your lander and using up all your power, not to mention the risk of crashing - particularly if you start on the dark side of the planet, we build a rover that is equipped with a large grid detector to give the best chance of finding ores while also keeping your engineer safe.

This build is designed to be as cheap as possible and suitable for beginners to be able to follow and get use out of without too much hassle. You need only grind 2 blocks off the lander with the standard components it's loaded out with.

If you've got any additional tips that might be helpful, be sure to share them in the comments so that others can take advantage of that knowledge too!

As always, don't forget to enjoy this awesome (if at times buggy) game!
