CROSS ON THE HILL
One day poor Andrew, was fishing around
And the Saviour was walking across
That lake that was deep, not too square, not too round
At first sight he looked just like a ghost.
And Andrew cried out: "Can you show me the way
Of crossing the lake with no boat? "
" It’s easy to say than to do by the way -
answered Jesus : " Believe it or not."
Look up there at the hill,
There's a cross on the top
Some solders standing around
And a huge crying mob.
When you come to the end
You will see the bright light
Then you will cross any lake
And we'll walk side by side.
"My Teacher, believe me, I'm scared by the sight
I would like to avoid fatal cross.
Can you tell me right now how to walk by the sea?
I'm a fool feeling lonely and lost."
Was Jesus surprised but he looked at the man
And his answer was deep in its tone
"You're a fool, it's alright, I have said what I can
Now it's better for you to go home!"

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
