Do social networking sites influence ranking?
Does Google use data from social sites as a ranking factor?
So you have been told that you need to build backlinks, but were you also told that some backlinks aren't as helpful in ranking as others?
Tweeting that link over and over may get your site seen by others on Twitter, but Google isn't counting that as a backlink as it would some others...but all is not lost!
There are some good things about sharing your new and older links on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest...Just because those links may not directly influence ranking, they can give Google some needed info.
