Fish traps are now my favorite easy scrap farm in Rust! They require no blueprints, they're cheap, simple, and you just need to get decent bait to put into them. The scrap you can get from trading in fish is surprisingly good for how little effort they take.
Fish trap farms have been neglected since the original introduction of fishing. Formerly they were used for low grade farming but became completely useless with the fishing update. Now, fishing has been changed, altering the bait system and bringing that new system to fish traps as well. This makes fish traps viable for farming scrap, animal fat, bones, blue cards, and fish meat. You can even compost those bones into fertilizer and create a loop with growing hemp or berries.
