Gas prices in Europe have fallen sharply - has a replacement been found for gas from the Russian Federation? LNG tankers have piled up off the coast of Spain. Gas storage facilities in Spain are filled to capacity. For this reason, liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers for this country have piled up along its coastline, waiting to be unloaded at ports. There were 15 LNG tankers in Cadiz alone a week ago. There are at least 35 LPG tankers around the Iberian Peninsula and in the Mediterranean waiting to be unloaded.
Not far from Cadiz, in the port city of Huelva, one of the terminals is located, where 300-meter tankers filled with LNG can be unloaded. In total, there are six such terminals with gas tanks in Spain. The seventh will soon be opened in the port of Gijón. In these terminals, LNG is converted into a gaseous form so that it can then be transported through gas pipelines.
