Today it also functions as a scientific, social and cultural centre in Bashkortostan, Russia.M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University continues to develop networking cooperation with leading universities and research centres of the world. It is a strategic partner of 48 colleges and 9 research and education centres from other countries. In May 2013 M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University (BSPU) became part of The Shanghai Cooperation Organization University (SCO University).
