So, for today's video we are challenging each one of you to donate to the people and animals in Houston affected by Hurricane Harvey. We were deeply saddened when we saw the effects the hurricane had in Houston. We feel so bad for all the people that lost their homes, and all the animals that were left behind.
Living where we do in Ohio, we have never experienced any major natural disaster. Tornados might come through, but we have never been personally affected. We can't even imagine what all these people and animals are going through.
We immediately wanted to donate.
The Houston Humane Society has been working non stop trying to rescue and shelter animals, along with offering affordable vet services to all the animals in need. As of September 2, their main diesel truck broke down. They use that truck to pull their trailers to rescue animal, to pick up donations and to pick up food. Right now they are asking for money donations to help them get a new truck, since their current truck was old and not worth fixing.
They also set up an Amazon Wish list if you would like to send them something they need!
Houston Food Bank has been working non stop trying to feed all the hungry people of Houston and surrounding neighborhoods effected by Harvey. Each $1 donation pays for 3 meals. So if 100 people donated just $1 it would feed 300 people!
