LinuxLive USB Creator: Portable Linux
In this video I show you a great program called LinuxLive USB Creator. LinuxLive USB Creator allows you to install Linux onto a USB flash drive, external hardrive, or even a mp3 player as I did in this video. Having the Live USB allows you to try Ubuntu and perform data recovery or troubleshoot Linux and Windows machines. You can also use the USB for your own portable operating system. You can connect your USB into any computer, restart the computer and boot into the USB, or you can run Linux within virtualbox, save the machine state and your changes will still be there when you go to use it again. I used Ubuntu for the video, but you can use most flavors of Linux (you'll have the option in step 2.
