Cooking for Our Big Family~ CAST iRON LASAGNA
I am super excited to share with you, my cast-iron lasagna from my official, like the real cookbook of mine that I’m so proud of Mama Bell’s Big Family Cooking Cookbook. My family absolutely loves lasagna and I have quite the history. I’m trying to figure it out.
When my kids were younger, I tried to make lasagna, but I had added so much cheese that we could barely chew it. It was so thick. Then I thought OK I’m not gonna give up. I’m gonna try it again and the next one was like soup. I just gave up and every time my kids wanted lasagna I would go grab a Stouffer’s lasagna. But I am so thankful for my mother-in-law Dodie and my son David grandmother Ruby, who both make an absolutely amazing lasagna and shared with me tips on how to make it. So I tried it again pulled out my huge cast-iron pan whipped up the lasagna and it was absolutely amazing.
So when my kids ask for lasagna, I don’t try and make something else or act like I don’t hear them. I will just get my cast iron pan out, whip up the lasagna and it is now one of our family favorites.
