How to Sell Your Handmade Products Online if You Live Outside the USA (3 Tips!)
Today I'm going to give you five crucial tips that you need to know for selling your handmade or physical products online when you're based outside of the USA.
You may not know this about me, but I’m kind of new to the United States. I came to the US for college, but I was born and raised in Malaysia. And I started my business in Malaysia. Most of my first few sales happened in Malaysia and I was selling primarily to customers in the US. I should also mention that I do a fair bit of online shopping myself, and I’m a tiny person. I’m five foot one. And I have tiny hands, that’s why my business is called Tiny Hands. And let me tell you, it’s really hard to buy clothes that fit me in the US, at least not in the women's section anyway. Don’t tell anybody, but sometimes I go to the kids' section. Short people problems.
Needless to say, I’ve been a business operating outside of the US, I’ve bought ton of stuff as a customer from non-US or international shops, and I also get this question all the time from people who live outside the US who want to make their businesses work.
