Step 1:

4. Under the "Virus & threat protection settings" section, click the Manage settings option.
5. Disable Windows Defender by turning off the "Real-time protection" toggle switch.
Step 2: Using Group Policy to disable Windows Defender
1. Press “Win + R” and Type “gpedit.msc”, then hit Enter or OK.
2. Click Computer Configuration and Administrative Templates.
3. Click “Windows Components” and double click “Windows Defender Antivirus”.
4. Double click “Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus” select the Enable button on the left edge and click OK.
Step 3:
1. From the Window Search Bar type ‘regedit’ and hit Enter
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
3. Look for a key named DisableAntiSpyware. If it does not exist go to Step 4, otherwise go to Step 7
4. Right click the Windows Defender folder in the right panel
5. Select New and click DWORD (32-bit) value
6. Name the new DWORD DisableAntiSpyware and press Enter
7. Double click the DisableAntiSpyware DWORD and set its value to ‘1’ Click OK
