Celtic knots are simple to create in Inkscape, follow along with this step by step lesson to guide you through the process of building up a Celtic knot. I’ve drawn a 4 pointed knot but if you want to draw a Trinity Knot with 3 points, the process is exactly the same – instead of rotating your circle by 90 degrees (6 x 15 degrees increments), rotate it by 120 degrees (8 x 15 degrees increments).
Vector logos are fully scalable, so a Celtic knot logo could be used for anything from web design, T-shirt emblems, to quilt cover designs.
I also demonstrate how to create a solid colour Celtic knot or an outline from the same design, both of which are perfect to use with a Cricut vinyl cutter or laser cutter.
Follow along to create your own artwork – for Cricut, print on demand goods, low content publishing, T-shirt designs, etc.
In this tutorial, I’m using the latest version of Inkscape – Inkscape 1.1
